Her first artistic project, UTPICTURA, which in Latin means ‘like a painting’, was a bridge between the world of fashion and that of art. The project aimed to mix gender, fashion history (thanks to handmade clothes used for the carnival in Venice), art history and contemporary photography in an informal way. A deconstruction of the painting, to obtain a new material image, which encloses a memory of a past world, without being a faithful copy of it. The choice of internal geometry, the balance of the image, the composition and the use of colours, make the portrayed faces ethereal, timeless, moving from the technical aspect which is part of photography, to the emotional aspect of which painting is the natural transfer.
